What an awesome find in the small suburb of Bicton – Little Stove!!!
Not only was the food and coffee above our expectations, Little Stove provides a quirky vintage space resembling a lounge room than that of a neighborhood cafe. There are big tables, small ones and even a crackling fireplace with couches around to tell your great tales. Crocheted rugs hang on the seats outside to keep you warm and there are two armchairs at the front all adding to the vintage charm. Not forgetting the canine clients, well they have a section under a tree and treats can be purchased from the counter.
Little Stove is a creation of passion that stems from the owners grandparents whom immigrated from Croatia to Fremantle, a familiar story among the ‘Fremantle European’ families.
‘Imagine a cafe with a warm and inviting atmosphere just like your nana’s house and always with coffee on the stove top’ – Little Stove
The Big Stove Breakfast ($19.00)
Derek ordered the Big Stove Breakfast which came with just about everything. The sauteed mushrooms and Mexican inspired baked beans deserve a special mention, they were absolutely delicious and instantly warmed us up from the inside out. The eggs were perfectly poached.
The Homemade Crumpets ($16.00)
I thought I would try a sweet breakfast and the Homemade Crumpets ($15.00) sounded intriguing – ricotta cheese, stewed rhubarb and honey. The ingredients came together perfectly, heavenly sweet.
The Cappuccino was served with a drizzle of chocolate sauce on the creme. Gawd!
