The suburb Shenton Park is virtually next door to Subiaco and it too has a number of street side cafes around the place as well as some well-known restaurants such as Galileo, Petite Mort and Kiri Japanese. Excelsior Deli is located on the tree lined Onslow St and one Saturday morning before Coffee school in the city we stopped in for a quick coffee, perhaps a daring choice considering during the course of the day we would be consuming a beer mug equivalent of coffee.
Excelsior Deli use the Five Senses blend for their coffees. The corner cafe is warehouse in design with a clean cut raw minimalist look. The counter has a great range of sandwiches and tempting cakes, we ordered a few macarons with the coffees.
The sesame seed macaron was absolutely delicious and the coffee were mighty strong, definitely with a kick.
