Cafe Cafe is a trusty cafe in Subiaco for breakfast, coffee and lunch.

Being located across from the Subiaco train station and Woolworths means there is always a crowd around the cafe. There is plenty of seating – outside under the umbrella’s, inside including an upstairs level. There is also a bench lining the window for the quick coffee drinker. An outside access counter is dedicated for takeaway coffees all day long.

Cafe Cafe is open from an early 6:00 am to 7:00 pm every day of the week. They offer a menu as well as pastries, cakes, quiches and sandwiches pre-made and on display at the counter. I have ordered a few corporate lunches and they have always been consistently good; I love the turkey, cranberry and Camembert sandwiches.

We stopped by one Saturday just after 7.00 am for some breakfast on the way to work. There were a few people around, more notably older male groups. Ladies catch up over ‘coffee and cake’ and I guess men catch up over ‘coffee and bacon’!

We ordered the Cafe Cafe Breakfast and Breakfast Stack with coffees from the counter. Cafe Cafe serves illy coffee, a nice smooth blend and one wall is filled with take home products from coffee, mugs to coffee machines!

The servings were large for both of our dishes and a rather generous amount of Bacon, in fact the most bacon served on any breakfast dish in Perth I have consumed to date.
