Crepes and coffee is what you will so find at La Galette De France in the riverside suburb of Nedlands. This French patisserie serve a fair of cakes, quiches, warm savoury food and sandwiches. There is plenty of free street parking and alfresco seating available, we take a seat outside under the umbrellas.
Unfortunately I missed the chance of trying the crème de marrons crepes as they had run out of the chestnut but never mind, where there is a loss there is always an opportunity and in this case it came in the form of a Banana delight.
Banana Delight Crepe ($9.00)
The crepe as you can see was rather large and very filling! As a savoury crepe lover I may not order the chocolate sauce on top next time as I felt it was too much however the roasted almonds and cream were delicious in combination with the generous serving of bananas.
Cappuccino and a Long Mac
The coffees were great, hot and strong as our last visit.
Coffee Eclair ($4.00)
Freshly made patisserie cakes go so well with a coffee, a little too well, we have consumed many cakes since we started this blog and we do not intend stopping any time soon. The Chocolate Eclair was stuffed with a sweet custard and glazed on top in a sticky icing.
La Galette De France bake their own bread, the ham and cheese baguette was just delicious.
Ham and Cheese Baguette
The Patisserie closes early in the afternoon on a Saturday at 2:00 pm.
